A Pair of WIPs

Having just completed the detailing for the wing root fairing, I figured it was time to post some more pics. Below are a couple of work-in-progress shots showing off the nose and wing sections of the 727-200. The main gear is now virtually complete, and I still need to create the hydraulic hose for the nose gear assembly. The cockpit and cabin window colorization is still being tweaked, but I think I'm getting closer!

    I assume you create thes in Illustrator? If so, how do you set the fine grey lines that make the fuselage panels? I use a 30% black stroke set to Color Burn/100% Opacity, but when two lines cross I get a double-hit therefore I get a dark dot. Is there a way around this?
